Good morning!

Let's start this morning with a question. If you have children, are they perfect? If you have a spouse or significant other - is he perfect? If you have pets are they perfect? What about friends... are all of your friends perfect? Or do they have little things that get on your nerves sometimes, maybe a couple areas where you would like to see change, or a few flaws here and there? Yet despite those flaws and little things, you still accept them, right?

Why then, do we have such a hard time accepting ourselves? Just as those around us have quirks or flaws, we are never going to perfect, either. Yet we are often relentless and demanding in our self-expectations, whereas we are accepting of those around us.

Your Turn:  Today, practice loving yourself first. Accept your imperfections as part of what makes you loveable versus unlovable. Our soul and spirit is a compilation of our good traits as well as our not-so-good traits. We can only find inner peace, when we accept all that we are.

Your Affirmation: I love myself.
