Good morning!
I truly believe
that this seemingly simple quote could very well be a key to Trump's
financial success. I don't know a lot about his personal life, so I
certainly can't speak to his overall life success--but I have sat at
the Starbucks in New York City at Trump Tower, and I do know he must
have been thinking big with that building!
It is such a
simple guideline, but such a true one. We are going to think all the
time--that's what makes us humans, and not barnacles. Science has shown
that what we think directly correlates to our quality of life.
Optimists live longer than pessimists. Optimists have a lower incidence
of heart disease. The scientific data is starting to pile up that our
thoughts directly correlate to the life we live, and its quality.
We spend the
majority of our time thinking--sometimes these thoughts are random and
wandering, other times they are reflections of those we spend time
with. Sometimes it is talk from an internal critic that seems to know
how we can do better at every turn. Every thought is like a building
block. Are you building a foundation for today and tomorrow, or are you
building a brick fortress around yourself that keeps out the light?
Your
Turn:
If your thoughts are wandering into places that don't inspire and
encourage you on a regular basis, then you need to make a decision to
change and follow through--that is the single-most important decision
and commitment you can make for yourself and everyone around you. It
won't necessarily be easy, but it will be worth it.
Today's
Affirmation:
I control my thoughts and direct them toward the positive.

And as always,
don't forget to start your day with a heartfelt: "Something
great is going to happen today... I can't wait to see what it is!"
And when
ending your day ask yourself: "What is one more thing I can do
to make today matter?"
