Does thinking about paying bills or "finally saving up enough" for a desired purchase fill you with stress and anxiety? Are you tired of looking at the interest charged on your monthly credit card statements?

"Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today." ~James Dean

Good morning!  I believe that living in the moment and maximizing each moment is key to knowing true joy. When I first started "living in the moment," I grappled with the concept. How do I live in the moment while also keeping the long-term in mind? I wish I would have had this quote during that time as it beautifully expresses the key to rich-living.

Even though we live in the moment, we still dream big. We look forward to the future with anticipation and expectation, but we don't "live in tomorrow." Instead, we put forward our best effort each and every day, living as though it were our last. We can only find happiness in the moment. We can't find tomorrow's happiness today. And we can't find happiness when we are waiting "for something else." To know true joy, we must embrace and recognize the joy of everything that is right here, right now.

Your Turn:
Don't search for tomorrow's happiness today. Instead, recognize and enjoy all the richness of this very moment.

Your Affirmation:
I find joy in the moment.
