Procrastination is a word that has haunted many people but it doesn't have to! While many people would have you believe that springing into action and "just doing it" is the quickest cure, it isn't a long-term solution. All actions start with attitude. We have to uncover why we procrastinate and cure the cause in order to find long-term relief.

Good morning!  Yesterday we talked a bit about adversity. In order to find strength in life, we also have to sharpen the tools we use to deal with life's ups and downs.

I have a magnet that my mother gave me on my fridge which says, "Whatever you are -- be a good one." Becoming "good" or an "expert" on whatever mission we choose for ourselves is never an easy path. To truly be an expert, we have to be able to handle both the good and the bad. Life will never serve us just one or the other, it is always a mixed batch. Our ability to deal with what we are served, will be the predominating factor in our level of happiness.

When you meet someone you find admirable, or hear an incredible story of courage or strength, you will usually find that these admirable and courageous people have faced much adversity in their lifetime. What makes them admirable is that they chose to challenge adversity and learn from it--versus lay down or let go.

Your Turn:
Welcome the challenging times as a chance to sharpen your skills. You will need a varied toolset to deal with the ups and downs of life.

Your affirmation:
I challenge adversity
