Good morning! Let's start this morning with a question. If you have children, are they perfect? If you have a spouse or significant other - is he perfect? If you have pets are they perfect? What about friends... are all of your friends perfect? Or do they have little things that get on your nerves sometimes, maybe a couple areas where you would like to see change, or a few flaws here and there? Yet despite those flaws and little things, you still accept them, right?

Why then, do we have such a hard time accepting ourselves? Just as those around us have quirks or flaws, we are never going to be perfect, either. Yet we are often relentless and demanding in our self-expectations, whereas we are accepting of those around us.

Your Turn:
Today, practice loving yourself first. Accept your imperfections as part of what makes you loveable versus unlovable. Our soul and spirit is a compilation of our good traits as well as our not-so-good traits. We can only find inner peace, when we accept all that we are.

Your affirmation:
I love myself.
