You have to have confidence in your ability, and then be tough
enough to follow through. Rosalynn Smith Carter
Good morning! Envisioning the target of a goal is a great tool
while implementing new ideas into your personal improvement
plan. It's so easy to read about a good idea, or see some great
new technique on television and think, "That describes me! I
should do that!" We plan to take a new approach to an old
problem, but when the opportunity arises we quickly find
ourselves choosing the familiar - even if it isn't working.
Change requires energy. Yet, today's world doesn't often leave
us with an overflow of energy. To help choose change instead of
the familiar, envision the result of the goal you are working
toward. Imagine yourself or your life as you want to be - then
choose a route or implement a new technique that will most help
to move you toward that goal.
Your Turn: Take a moment and close your eyes. Envision
your goal. As you go through the ups and downs of choosing new
patterns over old, recall this image to offer encouragement on
your journey.
Your Affirmation: I envision where I want to go--and then I
go there! CHARGE!
