"Adversity is the diamond dust that heaven
polishes its jewels with." ~ Thomas Carlyle
Good
morning!
When you
meet someone you find admirable, or hear an incredible story of courage
or strength, you will usually find that these admirable and courageous
people have faced much adversity in their lifetime. What
makes them admirable is that they chose to challenge adversity and
learn from it, instead of laying down or letting go.
Whiel adversity in itself seems uncomfortable or something to run from,
it truly is the diamond dust that heaven polishes its jewels with.
When we face adversity, we are always presented with a chance
to grow, a new life lesson to absorb, and a new lens with which to see
the world, which can strengthen our soul and our spirit.
Those people we find admirable are often those who grow,
learn, and use adversity as a tool to strengthen their values,
commitments, and priorities.
Your
Turn: Welcome adversity as a chance to learn
more about yourself, your priorities, and your values.
Your
Affirmation: I learn something new from every life
experience. What I learn enriches me for every life
experience to come.
And as always,
don't forget to
start your day with a heartfelt: "Something great is
going to
happen today... I can't wait to see what it is!"
And
when ending
your day ask yourself: "What is one more thing I can do
to
make today matter?
