"Drag your thoughts away from your troubles ... by the ears, by the heels, or any other way you can manage it."
~ Mark Twain

Good morning! Mark Twain certainly seems to have some "nuggets" doesn't he? This seemingly simple sentence is a powerful prescription for living. It is important to remember that our thoughts our like water for a garden. Wherever we let them wander, they will water that area, and help it to grow.

Pause for a moment to think about the last few days. What did you spend most of your time thinking about? Worries? Troubles? Hopes? Dreams? Problems? If you spent the last few days worried about a problem, odds are that the problem grew, or your perception and stress from the problem has grown. If you spent the last few days thinking positively about the future, and about hopes and dreams, you were likely in a good mood and making positive steps forward.

Your Turn:
Remember that thoughts are like water for a garden. What area in your life needs to grow? Focus your thoughts there.

Affirmation:
My thoughts are positive, constructive and encouraging.
