Good morning! Tonight, after a long day of meetings and a red-eye flight (and 4 hour drive) the day prior, I hopped in my elevator. I played "elevator-woman" asking each person what floor they would like while juggling a binder, a brief case, and a very, very, very big purse. Soon we were talking and sharing--albeit you can't share much in an elevator with only operating between 7 floors - but it was a simple act of courtesy and caring and I believe it brightened some other weary travelers today.

As I tucked myself into my hotel room tonight, it made me wonder if true contentment is found in consistent courtesies. There is great warmth to be found reaching out to strangers and family alike with a simple word, nod or touch.

Your Turn:
Today be consistently courteous. Reach out to each person you encounter with a simple kindness.

Your Affirmation:
I am courteous and caring to all who I encounter.

And as always, don't forget to start your day with a heartfelt "Something great is going to happen today... I can't wait to see what it is!"

And when ending your day ask yourself, "What is one more thing I can do to make today matter?"
