You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.
Margaret Thatcher

Good morning!  I love Thatcher's quote because it reminds me that things rarely go "as planned" the first time around -regardless if the challenge is with personal change, career, family, our home or any other area.

In a society that places emphasis on perfection, we often don't give ourselves enough leeway to "find our answer." Instead, when we make a plan and it doesn't work, we jump ship, forgetting the wisdom in Thatcher's words: "You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it."

Each time we go through an experience, even if it doesn't turn out "as we planned," we gain knowledge for the next time around. That knowledge is what builds success. Success and happiness aren't built by "getting luck on the first try," but by the wisdom gained from standing back up and trying again.

Your Turn: What area of your life is calling you to get back up and try again?

Affirmation: Just as much joy can be found in the second or third attempt as the first.

And as always, don't forget to start your day with a heartfelt "Something great is going to happen today... I can't wait to see what it is!"

And when ending your day ask yourself, "What is one more thing I can do to make today matter?"
