This morning, I wanted to share an anecdote I discovered recently about the Chinese Bamboo Tree. I have noticed that many women have a tendency to think "they aren't changing fast enough," or accomplishing things "as quickly as everyone else." If you can relate to either of those statements, I thought you might enjoy this lesson from a Chinese Bamboo Tree....

Good morning!

Chinese Bamboo Tree
You take a little seed, plant it, water it, and fertilize it for a whole year, and nothing happens.

The second year you water and fertilize it, and nothing happens.

The third year you water it and fertilize it, and nothing happens. How discouraging this becomes!

The fourth year you water it and fertilize it, and nothing happens. This is very frustrating.

The fifth year you continue to water and fertilize the seed and then sometime during the fifth year, the Chinese bamboo tree sprouts and grows ninety feet in six weeks!

Your Turn: Where in your life do you need to exercise more patience, either with yourself or those around you?

Affirmation: I am always growing.

And as always, don't forget to start your day with a heartfelt "Something great is going to happen today... I can't wait to see what it is!"

And when ending your day ask yourself, "What is one more thing I can do to make today matter?"
